West Harbour GO Station Construction Now Complete

HAMILTON, ONT. — The Ontario government has confirmed that construction at West Harbour GO Station is officially finished.

Previously, the station operated with a dead-end track, forcing trains to reverse in and out. With the latest upgrades, the station is now fully connected to the main Lakeshore West rail line, improving service efficiency.

Thanks to this connection, passengers travelling from St. Catharines and Niagara Falls can expect faster and more direct service through West Harbour. All GO trains to and from Niagara Falls will now include a stop at the station.

The improvements are also expected to support future GO rail service to the planned Confederation GO Station in east Hamilton.

Schedule adjustments for Lakeshore West will follow soon, pending the completion of track testing.
